The Promotion People is a team of publicists who work together to give our clients the best exposure to help publicize their film and television productions. We have worked with over 80 film and television series, and hundreds of actors and musicians over the last 25 years. We provide positive coverage through results-driven campaigns for our clients. We incorporate our publicity expertise and creative strategic thinking to deliver a thorough plan for all facets of the film, television and music industries.

Who we are
Lesley Diana – Founder, President and Publicist (IMDB)
Lesley Diana established The Promotion People in 1994, after years of working in the media and entertainment industry, both in front of the camera and behind-the-scenes. As a Unit Publicist with I.A.S.T.E. 669, she has worked on many high profile feature film projects, including films shot in Vancouver for Sony Pictures. She has also completed successful publicity campaigns for television series produced by Thunderbird Films and Great Pacific TV, and has been the publicist for countless projects from IndustryWorks Pictures. As a Personal Publicist to some of Canada's most talented actors, she has worked alongside some of the country’s brightest stars as their careers rose on the big and small screens.
The Promotion People’s list of prestigious clients have graced the covers of Maxim, Enroute, Flare, Dolce Vita, Modern Dog, UMM and Femme Fatal. Television appearances have included interviews on Entertainment Tonight, ET Canada, eTalk, Breakfast Television, Skye TV, CBC, The Biography Channel and many national news programs and morning television talk shows.
When not working on movie sets, Lesley has worked with an incredible roster of clients including Emmanuelle Vaugier, Nicole Oliver, Todd Talbot, Gabrielle Miller, Terry Chen, Michael Eklund, Cory Monteith, Maestro Fresh Wes Williams, Cle Bennett and Hall of Fame inductee musician David Sancious of the original E Street Band with Bruce Springsteen and has toured with Sting, Eric Clapton, and Peter Gabriel. She has produced many feature film Electronic Press Kits featuring interviews with actors Jerry Stiller, Brooke Shields, Peter Coyote, Wendy Crewson, Oscar nominee Abagail Breslin, Malcolm McDowell, Joe Lando, Kevin Zegers, Kevin Dillon, Peter Gallagher, Tom Green and many more.
Lesley and her team produced some of the most impressive Red Carpet events at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games, the Vancouver International Film Festival and the Canadian Country Music Awards.
Her diverse career also includes producing television projects, and hosting a talk show. As owner of a Western Canadian retail chain, she was a finalist in the national Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. Lesley is also the author of a nationally published book. After graduating with a Bachelor of Education, she taught high school for nine years before opening her first business. Lesley served on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Vancouver Business Association for six years.

Jasmyn Rowley – Publicist
As a passionate and vastly experienced communications professional, Jasmyn brings a high degree of energy, creativity and commitment to the representation of her clients’ interests. Jasmyn has built an impressive public relations portfolio throughout her many years in the industry, successfully completing a variety of results-driven publicity campaigns for clients, including top actors, musicians, authors, television and film productions, and high-profile red carpet events.
Jasmyn has been working in the realm of media and broadcasting across Canada for over a decade. Her various roles in the industry include work on-camera as a news anchor, reporter, producer and news writer for broadcast television, internet and radio; as well as behind the scenes in a production and communications capacity.
She has also shared her expertise in the field with future PR professionals, as a senior instructor in the Public Relations and Event Management post-graduate program at Sault College, teaching the Event Management, Marketing and PR communications courses.
Jasmyn is an accomplished graduate of the collaborative Media, Theory and Production program at the University of Western Ontario, the Broadcast Journalism Program at Fanshawe College, and graduated at the top of her class in the Entertainment Business Management program at the Vancouver Film School.

Josephine Grant – Social Media Strategist
Josephine is passionate about helping businesses reach their marketing goals while staying true to their brand. As a social media strategist, she strives to represent The Promotion People’s clients on social media platforms in the best way possible.
She has lived in France for multiple years and is fluent in French. As she’s lived and studied in France she found her love for the fashion and film industry. Throughout her years she’s worked alongside Creative Directors and Fashion Stylists, which has led her to start her personal fashion blog. Josephine has worked as a consultant for PR firms to build a business plan and exposure strategies.
Josephine is a Bachelor of Business in Administration graduate with a major in Business Management from British Columbia Institution of Technology. In her time at BCIT, she co-founded and was the President for the Young Women in Business BCIT Club, which helps build an empowered community of driven female leaders.
