Wesley MacInnes appears as villian Icicle in a two-hour special of the popular CW series 'Smallville’
Wesley also recently appeared in an episode of the hit drama ‘The Vampire Diaries’

For immediate release - May 2010, Vancouver, BC – Charismatic young actor Wesley MacInnes is appearing on the hit CW show’s two-hour movie special ‘Smallville: Absolute Justice’. Wesley plays villainous murderer Icicle in the popular drama, which follows a young Clark Kent (Tom Welling), as he struggles to find his place in the world, and harness his supernatural powers. Wesley portrays the complex killer in the only television movie made of the series. Wesley’s preparation for the role required hours of fight choreography and an extensive makeover to turn him into the complicated villain, whose incredible abilities include shooting ice bullets from his hands. The two hour event pulled together an incredible cast, including Pam Grier (Foxy Brown, Jackie Brown), Michael Shanks (Stargate: SG1), and Brit Irvin (V), along with the regular series cast: Tom Welling, Allison Mack, Erica Durance and Justin Hartley.

The up-and-comer also recently appeared in another hit CW show: The Vampire Diaries. Vampire Diaries revolves around the life of a high-school girl torn between two vampire brothers. Wesley has also starred in an episode of the Hallmark Hall of Fame, one of the longest-running anthology series’ on television. Wesley played the 20 year old version of George McCray, played by Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek, I, Robot), in the episode ‘A Dog Named Christmas’. Although Wesley is relatively new to the industry, he is proving his talent and passion for performing with every new project.

The vast variety of characters that Wesley has portrayed to-date has allowed the versatile actor to put his stage experience to good use. Wesley has appeared in a number of theatrical productions, which has allowed him to build a strong performing foundation for his bright career. The multi-talent is not only a versatile actor, but a musician as well. Wesley will be releasing his debut solo album in 2010, on which he sings, and plays a variety of instruments, including: guitar, drums, bass and piano. He has successfully mixed elements of pop, country, rock and folk to create a unique and catchy melody-driven sound. The new album contains a wealth of original songs as well as a few covers from the likes of Neil Young, John Denver and Ian Tyson.
Wesley is a Calgary native, who moved to Vancouver to complete University, and pursue his performance career. Wesley currently resides in Vancouver, where he continues to expand his ever-growing resume of impressive onscreen credits.
