International beauty Emma Lahana starring in the CW hit series 'Hellcats'

Vancouver, B.C- March, 2011 – Canadian actor, New Zealand born Emma Lahana, is currently taking the small screen by storm on the hit CW series ‘Hellcats’. The series follows the competitive and wild world of college cheerleading. Emma plays Charlotte Monroe on the show, the sister of High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale’s character Savannah. From a strict Baptist family, Charlotte ends up getting into a lot of trouble, and with her sister’s ex-boyfriend of all people. ‘Hellcats’ airs on Tuesdays at 9/8C on CW. http://www.cwtv.com/shows/hellcats

Emma is also widely recognized for her role on the popular CBC series ‘Heartland’. On the series, Emma plays Blair, a girl who winds up not being as innocent as she originally seemed. ‘Heartland’ is a sprawling family drama that follows one family’s highs and lows on their horse ranch.  http://www.cbc.ca/heartland/

The talented performer is an indie film gem, recently appearing in two popular indie flicks: ‘Dear Mr. Gacy’, and ‘The Girlfriend Experience’, which was nominated for Best Canadian Feature at the Whistler Film Festival in 2008.

The buzzed about young actor has built an impressive resume since booking her first role on a New Zealand soap opera when she was just 14. Emma’s film & television credits include  the series ‘The Guard’, ‘Seven Deadly Sins’, the Disney movie ‘You Wish!’, as well as a lead role as the Yellow Ranger in ‘Power Rangers Dino Thunder’ and ‘Power Rangers Operation Overdrive’.

Since the first time she saw Michael Jackson’s ‘Bad’ video, she knew being involved in the world of entertainment was where she needed to be. She became involved in all aspects of performing at a young age, including ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance styles. She also played violin, and sang. Emma continues to enjoy practicing ballet three times a week to stay in shape.

When Emma isn’t on set, she enjoys playing guitar, reading, and finding new vegan recipes. She is also a huge animal lover, and supporter of www.wspa.ca .
