Accomplished actor David Richmond-Peck nominated for two 2010 Leo Awards
David is nominated for his performance in both the hit ABC series ‘V’,
and the short film ‘Instant’

For immediate release—May 2010, Vancouver—Consummate performer and internationally recognized actor David Richmond-Peck is nominated for two 2010 Leo Awards for his standout performances. David is nominated in the Best Guest Performance by a Male in a Dramatic Series category for his role as Georgie Sutton in the hit ABC series ‘V’; as well as the Best Performance by a Male in a Short Drama category for his role in the short film ‘Instant’. David has been honoured with a Leo Award before; he won in 2006 for Best Supporting Performance in a Feature Length Drama for ‘Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of ‘Mork and Mindy’. He was nominated again in 2009 for Best Supporting Actor in a Series for his role on ‘Robson Arms’. The Leo Awards honour the best in British Columbia film and television, with this year’s Gala Award Ceremony taking place on Saturday, June 5th, 2010 at the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver. Known as one of the country’s most versatile and chameleon-like actors, David Richmond-Peck tackles a variety of film and television roles, spanning all genres, flawlessly. One of Canada’s most impressive entertainment industry exports, David has bridged both film and television across North America. Most recently, David played resistance leader Georgie Sutton on the acclaimed ABC series ‘V’, which also stars Elizabeth Mitchell and Morena Baccarin. ‘V’ follows an extraterrestrial race arrives on Earth with seemingly good intentions, only to slowly reveal their true intentions the more ingrained into society they become.

David’s impressive credits span across feature film as well. His distinct performances include a role as Agent Dom Dumare in Joe Carnahan’s ‘Smokin Aces 2: Assassins’ Ball’ (Directed by P.J. Pesce), and the polygraph operator in ‘The Day The Earth Stood Still’, starring Keanu Reeves. His memorable scene with Keanu, known as ‘The Interrogation’ became a youtube sensation before the film’s release. He also played Academy Award winner Chris Cooper’s son-in-law in ‘Married Life’, directed by Ira Sachs. His many other film credits include ‘ ‘2012’, ‘Fantastic Four’, ‘Beyond the Sherwood Forest’, ‘24/7’, ‘She’s The Man’, and ‘The Zero Sum’.

His numerous television credits include the role of CSI Detective Kassel on this season of ‘Fringe’, starring Joshua Jackson, a series regular role as Geoff McAlister on ‘Robson Arms’, and many more - including ‘Sanctuary’, ‘Smallville’, ‘The L Word’, ‘Battlestar Galactica’, ‘Stargate: Atlantis’ and ‘Traveler’, to name a few.

David’s much talked about performance in ‘Instant’ has earned him a second nomination this year. The film, almost a one man show, follows a man who, after losing his wife, mends his broken heart by accidentally gluing himself to a kitchen counter while alone in his cabin.

Born and raised in Oakville, Ontario, David now calls Vancouver home. When David isn’t busy working on a project, he enjoys spending his free-time being active outdoors, and counts sailing and snowboarding among his favourite activities. He also spends time with his fiancée, writer/director Kelly-Ruth Mercier and their two dogs, Henry and Josephine.
