Biography

Chris was born in Regina, Sask.  After living in several different cities in Canada his family settled in Calgary.  While Chris was in college in Calgary realized that he wanted to act. At 21 he dropped out of college and enrolled in The Company of Rogues Acting Studio in Calgary.  Since then he has never looked back.  Chris worked on various productions in Calgary then moved to Vancouver to pursue his dream.   He has since guest starred on numerous TV programs and pilots including Century City, The Chris Isaak Show, Just Cause and The Twilight Zone, as well as several movies of the week for Lifetime.

Chris Kramer has every intention on becoming the next big action hero.  Working out, staying in shape, Chris is totally committed to his craft.  Chris’ first big break came when he was cast in the leading role of Morgan Pym in ‘The Collector’, a supernatural drama about a soul-collector who gets permission from the Devil to try to save the souls of his "Clients" during their last 48 hours on earth.  Morgan Pym looks 30, but was born in 1322 AD, a monk who sold his soul to cure the woman he loved of Plague.  But when his deal ended 10 years later (as all deals with the Devil do), his beloved died, and Morgan went to work for the Devil collecting souls, rather than go to Hell himself.

Six centuries later, Morgan begins to rediscover his own humanity, and makes a new deal with the Devil, which allows him to try to help his clients make amends for the bad luck caused by their bargain.  The Collector airs in 66 countries worldwide and will soon air in the United States in 2008.

Since leaving Vancouver to take advantage of the vast amount of opportunities in Los Angeles, the two time Leo Award  and Monte Carlo Television Festival Nominee has landed several recurring roles on hit U S television series including a recurring role on ‘Saving Grace’ with Holly Hunter, a guest star role in the final episode of ’24 - Season 6’ (Kiefer Sutherland) (and they didn’t kill him), as well as a recurring role in CBS’s series ‘Jericho’ (Skeet Ulrich, Lennie James) which is currently being filmed in Los Angeles. 

After a series of terrorist attacks leave the US in a state of disaster, a small Kansas town (Jericho) must come together to deal with a new reality. Kramer plays Chavez, who is old friends with Robert Hawkins (Lennie James -Snatch, 24 Hour Party People), a man with a mysterious past. Hawkins says he used to be a cop in St. Louis, that the woman he lives with is his wife of 12 years and that they moved to Jericho because he wanted a quiet life.  These are all lies.  

On the film front, Chris recently completed production in a lead role in the independent film ‘Stellina Blue’, a feature length drama, directed and written by Gabriel Scott.  Chris plays, the brokenhearted and alone Jack Taylor who continuously struggles with the ongoing of chaos and disappointments of his world. Jacks faith is renewed with the chance encounter of befriending an unlikely stranger. It is through her that he will begin to believe that anything is possible and second chances are just around the corner.

Other recent feature films include a role in the Leo Award Nominated ‘Afghan Knights’ directed by Alan Harmon and stars Michael Madsen, Garry Stretch, and Steve Bacic. Chris has also had leading roles in Movies of the Week for the Lifetime Network including ‘Circle of Friends’ (Julie Benz – ‘Angel’, ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’) and ‘Stranger in my Bed’ (Jamie Luner - Melrose Place).

Chris resides in Los Angeles.

Actor Chris Kramer books role in CBS's 'Jericho', Fox's '24', and 'Saving Grace'
