This quickly became apparent when he was consistently sent out to the school hallway for hilarious yet disruptive behaviour, and he also participated in numerous plays and performances during his formative years.  It was while being enrolled in drama and musical theatre, the subject that he consistently flourished in, that he realized being an actor was a brilliant fit, and proceeded to attend the Vancouver Film School shortly after spending a year in England. He has trained in Meisner with Christianne Hirt (A Company of Rogues), and Gina Chiarelli and Ty Olsson have also contributed to his training. A plethora of projects have also contributed intensely to his overall knowledge of the field of acting.

These projects have also impacted him personally. He has been involved in many independent films, including “The Darkest Hour”, “Gordon”, “That One Night” and “Switch”. He has appeared on two seasons of “The L Word”, “Noah’s Arc”, “Saved” and “Whistler”.

Benjamin Arthur grew up with his family in the small town of Kitimat, British Columbia, spending most of his time playing road hockey and building Lego towns with his younger brother Mark. Although Benjamin’s parents divorced when he was fourteen, they have both been tremendously supportive of his career aspirations in acting.

Benjamin currently resides in the heart of downtown Vancouver. His professional and personal goals for the future collide and include propelling forward as an actor in order to make a difference in the world. He also aspires to own a production company. A health buff, Benjamin has an extensive health routine involving physical fitness, healthy nutrition and meditation, as it is something he cares deeply about maintaining.

Benjamin Arthur (The L Word, Whistler, The Darkest Hour) is starring in the new television series ‘Less Than Kind’, premiering on CityTV Monday October 13, 2008, playing the role of the handsome brother whose acting career is evidently non-existent. His diverse talent is clearly unmistakable in his character portrayal in the new Canadian television series.

The series follows Sheldon Blecher (Jesse Camacho: Tales from the Never Ending Story, 12 and Holding), a smart, fat teenager growing up as the only sane adult in a family of children in Winnipeg. His family consists of Sam, a self-destructive driving instructor father (Maury Chaykin: Blindness, Adoration), Anne, a pyromaniac mother (Wendel Meldrum: Seinfeld, The Wonder Years, Cruel But Necessary) and Josh, a handsome egotistical brother (Benjamin Arthur: The L Word, That One Night). With the frigid Winnipeg winter as a backdrop, the volatile Blechers struggle to stay together and revive the failing family business, Blecher's Driving School. Yes, they're obliged to love each other, but that doesn't mean they have to be nice about it.

Benjamin Arthur has had a passion for acting and the entertainment industry since a very young age. His great talent was developed overtime from playing roles in numerous plays and performances during the early years of his child hood and later into his adolescence years. During his time enrolled in drama and musical theatre, he discovered his established ability for the acting industry and pursued his dream to become a successful actor and attended the Vancouver Film School. This is where his talent only continued to flourish and he matured into the artistic, talented young actor that we have begun to recognize him as today.

Benjamin has since been involved in a number of projects and independent films these include ‘The Darkest Hour’, ‘Gordon’, ‘That One Night’, ‘Switch’ and he also appeared on two seasons of ‘The L Word’ and ‘Whistler’. Benjamin is a very ambitious actor who aspires to combine his professional and personal goals together and in the future moves forward as a great actor who may also make some impacting difference in the world. There are hopes of establishing his own production company amongst his goals also. With his attitude and outlook on life in collaboration with his career there is potentially a great success to occur for Benjamin in the entertainment industry.
